Overview
Once again, Shimano Lefty produces a stonkingly beautiful finish, this time in brown nicrocellulose lacquer over quilted maple. According to Shimano San it produces a modern sound, with pleasant mid-low tones and a great "live" sound. I'm not arguing! Part of the collaboration between Mapex Japan and Beyond Shimano .
Note: On one post this is listed as being 8ply rather than 6ply, but that post has no other details, so I'm going with the more extensive post.

Beyond Shimano とMAPEXのコラボレーションによるブラックパンサーシリーズのキルテッド・オールメイプルのスネアです。金属パーツはクロームメッキ仕様です。シェルは単体は２７０グラムから２８０グラム以内に乾燥されたものを使用。ですから中低域が気持良く生音が良いです。 サイズは14X5.5inch、シェルはオールメイプル６プライ、7.1ミリの非常に薄いシェルで、エクステリアにAAAランクのキルテッドメイプルを貼り合わせたシェル。もちろんニトロセルロースラッカー塗装。サウンドはまさにモダーントーンと言える現代的なサウンドです。
