Overview
Perfect for both live and studio use, Black Panther Cherry Snares feature a luxurious handrubbed finish. With tone that’s slightly sweeter and more full-bodied than maple, the series is distinctive in both its sound and its look. Over time, the color as well as the tone of the drum will grow sweeter. The drums are appointed with 24K Gold lugs and hoops for an extra touch of luxury.
The 10"x5.5" and 14"x6.5" models of the Cherry (and the Walnut versions) were the first of the Deep Forest series snares to be released in 2001. This range was listed in the catalogues as "Deep Forest Cherry" up until 2007, when the Deep Forest branding was dropped across the whole Black Panther stable. After this, the range was simply listed as "Cherry". At that point, this 10" shell was dropped from the range, never to reappear. Pity really - it's an extremely pretty little drum.
