Overview
I spotted this in early March 2022, during a late night dive down the Google Images rabbit hole, on a Polish selling site called Olx. The seller, Osse, was kind enough to respond to my hastily Google Translated (what did we do before this?!) query and let me share his photos.
I don't have a huge amount of background on it, but from the colour and the fact that it was made in Taiwan, I'd wager a decent meal that it was produced between 1996 and 2003, when Mapex were making matching snare drums to go with their Orion kits. Although there's the expected wear and tear on the badge and hardware, given its age the shell looks in pretty good condition. I'm guessing at the colour (slightly), but Transparent Red is the nearest one I can find in the catalogues. If you know better, give me a shout.

A professional Mapex snare drum from the top, pro shelf. A snare drum from the best years of Mapex production. A beautiful and wonderful sounding instrument.
