    14 x 5.5 Thomann Amber Special Edition

Overview

Another visually impressive Thomann Special Edition, this time in Amber Ash.

According to the in-depth review on Bonedo.de it's a great sounding snare for the money, with their only real issue being the throw-off not being as solid as they'd have liked and the heads could have done with being upgraded (Chinese crimped Remos rather than USA ones). The badge is plastic too apparently. All this points to the usual Thomann cost cutting on components to bring the snare in at a "great value" price.

Bear in mind that I don't read German so this interpretation was via Google Translate. If anyone fancies providing an accurate summary in English I'd be very grateful!
