Overview
What is it with Japan? How come they get so many of these custom snares?
Well, to be honest, part of the answer, if not all of it is down to the amazing Shimano Lefty (ドラム神様) and the collaborations between Mapex and his company "Beyond Shimano".
This one was produced to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of that collaboration, and limited to 100 worldwide accouring to the badge plate and limited to 50 in Japan if I'm reading the advert correctly.
I've seen these come up on the second-hand market a couple of times but always in Japan or the USA which makes getting one myself in the UK a tad...difficult!
