Overview
The natural beauty of the Black Panther Deep Forest Walnut Series is only surpassed by the instrument’s deep, rich voice. The drum’s unique tone is dark and saturating, providing sonic qualities unmatched by any other snare drum.
The 10"x5.5" and 14"x6.5" models of the Walnut (and the Cherry versions) were the first of the Deep Forest series snares to be released in 2001. Early models of the 6.5" came with the original Deep Forest Badge, whereas models produced after the 2004 range refresh come fitted with the tall rectangular Black Panther and oval Deep Forest badges. Although neither version is particularly common, the latter seem harder to find on the second-hand market or even to see photos of one these days. Indeed it took until April 2023 for one to show up, courtesy of Don Newman on the Facebook group.
