Overview
The first of two 14"x4" all Hinoki Wood (Japanese Cypress) Piccolo snares, this one in a mixture of chrome and black hardware and natural/vintage wine stripes. The shell is ultra-thin at just 5mm, with 5mm reinforcement hoops, and is a little deeper than a standard piccolo at 4". This gives it more mid-low output and makes it eminently suitable for a main snare. The Hinoki (Cypress) gives it a sweet but slightly dark tone peculiar to that wood.
Uniquely for a Mapex piccolo, this has an Orion Throw-Off. This is made possible by the slightly deeper shell, although its sibling has the standard Mapex Piccolo Throw-Off.

超薄い5mm厚5 Ply + 5mm Reinforcement ピッコロより0.5インチ（約12.7mmの違い）深いシェル。やはりピッコロとは違うミッドローの出音（でおと）の違いは明確に異なります。多くのドラマーがメインで使用しているのも分かります。硬質合板製のヒノキ材ですが、やはりヒノキ特有の甘く、ややダーク感は歌ものにもフィットする心地よいスネアサウンドとトーンニュアンスがあります。作成してよかったです。
