A sad entry this. Ralph Peterson, the longest-running artist endorser in the history of Mapex, passed away in March 2021. Two weeks before this however, he had signed off the specs on what was to become his signature snare - The Onyx. 

• The Onyx is a 14"x8" 7-Ply Maple shell with, uniquely for Mapex, 14-ply Black Maple hoops. It also comes supplied with a custom Evans "Onyx" black batter head. 
• Mapex have only made 150  worldwide and only 12 of these were made available in the UK.

A fitting tribute to a great player.
