Overview

There's not a huge amount of information on this Limited Edition snare, but piecing together information from the video from the Drum Center of Portsmouth and a few random sales listings, it appears to have been made in late 2013. According to Shane at DCP, Mapex made three sizes of limited editions at this time: the 14"x5.5", the 14"x6.5" and this, the big daddy of them all - 14"x8". 

All maple shell with a rosewood exterior ply in Merlot Burst lacquer.
