Overview
One of two one-off models from the Mapex Japan / Beyond Simano collaboration series, made in July 2018.
The shell is coated in an as-thin-as-possible oil finish, complemented by black chrome hoops and 24k gold lugs and strainer.
The batter side bearing edge is cut to a rounded 7:3 ratio (65 degrees), whilst the snare side is cut 8:2.
You can see its fraternal twin here. Note - there's only one post that covers both these snares (hence the two-up photos), so I'm assuming the basic shell construction is the same for both, with the exception of the hardware and external plies.

硬質合板製のオールメイプルです。Collaboration Series向けにそれぞれ２台One Off 的なつもりで作成しました。昨晩完成いたしました。今回のテーマはなるべく薄く塗装するオイルフィニシュ。メイプル材、硬質合板による通常のメイプルサウンドよりもっとシャキシャキの高音域を出す計らい。ベアリングエッジのバターサイドは６５度で７：３の比率。より丸いアール形状を作成。ヘッド裏側のエッジとベアリングエッジの接触面積を多くしました。反対にスネアサイドのベアリングエッジはトキトキ。８：２の比率。スナッピースネアはブラッククロームメッキを施したやや硬質感を意識。今回は２０本線を採用。全体的にメイプル材の硬質感とトーンウッドが心地よいです。そしてステール製の2.3mmのパワーフープ仕様。若干の雑味が全体のトーンを分厚くしてくれる。ダエキャストフープ程個性的でなく、ソニックセーバーフープ（内曲げ仕様）ほど綺麗でない、トリプルフランジフープの好きな所はドラマーの意思や癖が表現出来る最も生ドラムらしいトーンニュアンスである。デジタル（電子化された録音の音源）では、ここの部分がやはり表現できない。と考えてます。
