Overview
Ok - if tracking down the "Bronzed Hammered Brass" is like trying to find a unicorn, this is more like trying to find a Japanese unicorn playing cards with Bigfoot and the Loch Ness Monster.
Seriously - whilst there are one-of-a-kind custom drums, this is the most limited edition snare I've ever seen that's carried an offical Mapex Black Panther catalogue reference number. And the only one with a Titanium shell.
Made in 2012, Japan only, horrifically expensive when they were available (over £1k!), virtually impossible to find then and actually impossible now. Believe me, I've tried, up to and including contacting any store in Japan that's ever listed it ("All gone years ago" 「すみませんでした」) and talking to Shimano Lefty (ドラム神様) in Japan about it, and trying to convince him to make more. I'm still working on that.

今から20年近く前にジャパンリミテッドで作成したチタン製スネアドラムです。ニューブラックパンサー発売の数年後の限定スネアでした。チタン素材の持つ信じられない音量と遠くまで抜け響き渡る圧巻のパワーはチタン素材ならではでした。価格も高額なため２０台限定製作でしたが、予定を裏切り即完売でした。金属素材では最上級。上質なサウンドと繊細なニュアンスを持つ最強の金属シェルと今でも思っております。この頃の自分が撮る写真撮影の腕前はまだまだですね。肌の白い金属とブラックのラグやフープのコントラスト、ハイライトの付け方がシャープ過ぎますね。今同じスネアが手元にあれば再撮影がしたいです。
