Overview
As with many of these models from outside the standard range I don't have a huge amount of background on it. From the colour, the badge and the fact that it was made in Taiwan however, it will have been made somewhere in the later period between 1996 and 2003 when Mapex were making matching snare drums to go with their Orion kits. This example has quite a bit of wear and tear on the hardware, which isn't uncommon with black chrome from the period, but the shell is in pretty good condition.
I spotted this example from a Japanese seller called ocha4060 on eBay in September 2022. The seller doesn't mention the colour but my money is on Wax Cherry Red. As ever, if you know better, give me a shout.
Photos from ocha4060. I have tried to contact them for permission to use their shots, but I haven't received a reply yet, so these photos are being used for reference under fair use. Ocha4060 - if you read this, please do get in contact so I can request permission and credit you properly. どうもありがとうございます。
