Overview
Released in 2005 and originally called "Natural Maple", this series was renamed "Traditional Maple" in the 2007 USA catalogue, and then replaced with the Gloss Natural finish version (same shell, slightly different finish) in the international catalogue. Both versions continue in different catalogues until the range was retired in the range refresh in 2010. According to an article in Modern Drummer, this series was intended to provide a more affordable, cost-reduced option in the Black Panther range.
Note: Confusingly, this is not the same model as the "Natural Maple" model shown in the 2007 USA Black Panther catalogue which had the Gloss Natural finish.
Joshua McKay who sold this late production run example from 2012 sums it is really well, so I'll leave it to him...
A beautiful 14" x 6.5" maple snare in a natural finish. Well suited for louder music with great body and cut. A sturdy, not-too-fussy build with great edges making the attack and response quite excellent.
