Overview

Black Panther Phosphor Bronze Snares produce a unique sound that possesses the clarity and brightness that you would expect from a metal shell, but with a warmth and depth of a wood snare drum.

My personal example has a Russ Miller Groove Wedge fitted, signed by Russ at a drum clinic at Sound Attak.

To be honest, if I had to make a snare drum "Sophie's Choice" I'd pick this one every day and twice at Christmas. While there might be snares that are slightly better suited to a specific role, this one can do everything, whether live or in the studio, from the quietest Jazz, to the loudest rock. Why on earth this range was retired is beyond me.

Main photo and similar - my personal snare.
