2002
Forget "The Year of the Horse" - this should really be called "The Year of the Unicorn". It's the time when the two legendary (and hernia inducing!) Solid Bronze models show up as part of the Precious Metal range. It's also the year three new hammered ranges appear - Steel, Brass and Phosphor Bronze.
- Both the Solid Bronze models are included in the Precious Metal series until the range and website refresh in the middle of 2004. At that point the series was rolled up into the main Black Panther series, annoyingly without either Solid Bronze model.
- The Solid Bronze models were expensive and heavy. They have since become collectors items, fetching high prices when they do, very occasionally, come up for sale.
- The Hammered Steel, Hammered Phosphor Bronze and Hammered Brass ranges were introduced sometime between August and December this year.
- All three models of the all-chrome Stainless Steel with Die-Casts were dropped from the range, sometime between August and December this year.
- The High Gloss version of the traditional maples are released, together with the 13"x3.5" and 14"x5.5" models in the Deep Forest Cherry and Deep Forest Walnut series.
